What you'll be responsible for:

  • Communicate with a wide range of people, such as patients, carers, GP's, clinicians, work colleagues and professionals from other stakeholder organisations, on a range of matters on a daily basis. This communication could be verbal, written, or electronic.
  • Provide a timely message taking and referral receipt service for the patient, requiring tact and persuasive skills.
  • The use of an interpreter or translator should they be required due to the multicultural population of the area which the service is being provided to.
  • Staff must always communicate in a manner that is consistent with Trust policies and procedures whilst presenting a positive image of the service.

You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
