The Role

As Graduate Sales Estimator, you will prepare commercial tenders from the receipt of enquiry through to final submission, including technical work-up of pricing and liaise with customers to ensure a smooth sales process and ensure timely follow-up on bids tendered:

  • Support the external sales team to ensure smooth handover of successful tenders to operations for execution.
  • Prepare sales quotations from enquiry receipt to submission and follow up.
  • Liaise with Sales Managers regarding bid compilation.
  • Complete commercial conditions and other bid clarifications.
  • Submit bids through client media systems.
  • Support hand-over secured contracts to the execution team in line with company procedures.
  • Report all work concisely, accurately and regularly as required by company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records as required by company procedures.
  • Improve current tendering resources to improve accuracy, efficiencies and communication internally and to client.

The Candidate

To be considered for the position of Graduate Estimating Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Engineering, Technial or Design related degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical ability.
  • Team player.
  • Committed to joining a business and building a career.
  • Self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic with initiative and ambition in equal measures, able to demonstrate drive, commitment and desire to join a successful business and grow within it.
  • Able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, together with the ability to prioritise a busy work load/schedule.
  • Strong technical mindset, professional manner, confident and articulate.
  • Good Excel ability.
