We are looking for a Director of Supply Chain to lead the supply chain team and take responsibility for the supply chain management at Trinny London to ensure efficiency, productivity and cost-effectiveness. The role involves strategic planning, process optimization, supplier and vendor management and team leadership to meet organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of the supply chain - ongoing procurement, supply planning and logistics of products from our various supply partners - supplier governance, supply and quality assurance for our products and customers whilst we continue to meet our global and fast growth ambitions.

The Role

Your daily to-dos might look like this:
  • Develop and implement a global and agile supply chain strategy to ensure the best value, price and timing of supply and service for all our products in line with our global ambitions and business growth.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, while maintaining strong relationships and negotiating favourable terms
  • Provide the business with a sustainable competitive advantage, as well as ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards
  • Ensure supplier and vendor contracts are in place setting ongoing KPIs for supplier and vendor performance
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that in-house and outsourced manufactured products and services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure strong relationships with the product teams and work together to source new suppliers, procure and set up an agile and efficient supply chain for all new products.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and reduce costs.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including supplier disruptions and market fluctuations.
  • Oversee management of the implementation and ongoing development of our ERP system.
  • Analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  • Management of the supply chain team and responsibility for overall budgets across the transport, procurement and supply planning of Trinny London products.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Represent the supply chain within the overall business and collaborate with other departments to align operations and supply chain strategies with overall business goals.

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • A degree level qualification minimum.
  • Proven experience in global supply chain management in a leadership role within the Beauty Industry with strong knowledge of supply chain processes and procurement practices.
  • Experience of local and international supply chain solutions for D2C operations as well as retail operations from owned store through to wholesale.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team building, coaching, and performance management as well as the ability to grow and scale operations teams within a high growth environment.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of management.
  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to anticipate issues and provide solutions.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as ERP systems, inventory management software, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Results oriented, excellent ability to utilize and manage the organization's resources to achieve goals.
