The Role

Job Title: Senior Support Worker

Hours: 30 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4pm to 1am, including some weekends and bank holidays

P3 have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join our Safe Haven service in Chesterfield.

We provide an out of hours community wellbeing resource where people can access support during a mental health crisis, preventing escalation of mental health problems. An alternative for people with (or developing) mental health needs, particularly where they may have otherwise attended Emergency Departments. This service supports people to develop the necessary skills to cope with a future crisis. The Safe Haven provides a safe, supportive and friendly environment helping individuals in their recovery through promotion of self-empowerment and independence.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in a supportive, people focused environment, with a thorough understanding of mental health needs and excellent communication skills. You will need to be calm when dealing with challenging situations, kind, approachable and solution focussed in order to fully support people experiencing a tough time.
