Due to securing a new, long-term contract with our reputable housing client in Middlesbrough, we are excited to add to our team two
Working Forepersons (formerly titled Foreman/Forewoman).

You will to be a part of our newly established, successful Response Maintenance Business based in Thornaby-on-Tees.

We seek a Foreperson to manage our voids (empty properties) and a Foreperson to support our reactive works. You will be working within residential social housing properties throughout the county.


We seek tradespersons who have some experience in being directly responsible for a high performing direct workforce with the keenness to lead by example and support the Contract Manager with day-to-day queries, striving for first time resolution, always.

The Foreperson role:

  • Ensure work is completed efficiently, on time and to a high standard in line with our KPIs. You will be incentivised with a bonus scheme
  • The daily management of team productivity and regular reporting of this and job completion information to the Contracts Manager
  • Health and Safety reporting. You will complete on site welfare checks, including monitoring safe ways of working, PPE, van, and tool/equipment inspections
  • Delivery of fortnightly toolbox talks
  • Pre work inspections, setups and post inspections of work completed.

What will you bring as a Foreperson?

  • Qualified to an NVQ level 2 in a core internal trade or similar professional body is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills with a professional and responsible attitude towards work
  • The ability to 'lead by example' and incentivise an experienced directly employed trade workforce
  • Confidence in using IT systems or the willingness to learn with training and support
  • The possession of a full current UK Driving Licence, which is essential to undertake the Foreperson role, with the use of a company van and fuel card.
