We are 2,800 people working within 8 bakeries, 1 flour mill, and 2 regional distribution centres across the UK.

_Working 4 on 4 off (2 days 2 nights)_

Role Purpose:

Contribute to an efficient, customer-focused, manufacturing process through the effective operation of plant, equipment and systems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating the plant and process in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Completing documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Following instructions and procedures correctly.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in their immediate work area by adopting "Clean as You Go" philosophy.
  • Supporting the delivery of the site's KPI's for Safety, Quality, Service and Cost.
  • Being accountable for the production of highquality products that are safe.
  • Initially, this role will consist of working in the packing end of the plant however alternative opportunities/duties may arise to work throughout the entire manufacturing process.
  • Positively contribute to the Short Interval Control and to the broader Project Gold Standard.
  • Proactively drive down waste by implementing our "see it, flag it, fix it ethos".
  • Complete robust daily plant startup integrity check.
Effectively communicating and liaising with all other departments within the site to achieve operational excellence.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills, educated to at least 4 GCSE's / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Basic verbal & written communication skills to describe problems, causes and solutions
  • Experience of a process environment
  • Strong basic problemsolving skills working within defined parameters
  • Aptitude for basic mechanical & electrical tasks
  • Basic keyboard skills and IT aptitude to input and access data

Desirable:

  • Plant baking qualifications
  • Basic health & safety qualification
