GIS Data Specialist

Hybrid - West Midlands

6-Month Contract

Outside IR35

We are looking for a highly skilled Geographical Data Specialist to assist our clients' organization in streamlining its geographical data capabilities and implementing a strategic Enterprise Mapping Capability as part of their Data Platform Delivery.

As a Geographical Data Specialist, your role will involve offering expert advice on how to utilize geographic and location data throughout the organization. You will play a critical part in defining the strategic path of their geographical data capabilities and ensuring that the Data Platform Delivery aligns with business goals.

*Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of an Enterprise Mapping Capability to meet strategic goals and support Data Platform Delivery.
  • Collaborate with different teams to identify opportunities for using geographical data to enhance business outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to stakeholders regarding the utilization of geographic and location data within the organization.
  • Establish and implement data governance policies and procedures to maintain the quality and integrity of our geographic data assets.
  • Promote innovation in geographical data analysis and visualization methods for better decision-making and operational effectiveness.

*Qualifications:

  • Experience in GIS, Data Science, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated expertise in data management and analysis, with a sound knowledge of GIS technologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities to convert complex data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
