Join us as a Funds Finance Portfolio Management Associate

  • This role will see you supporting ongoing portfolio lifecycle management activities across our Funds Financing Portfolio covering Subscription Lines, NAV Facilities, Hybrids, and GP Financing in both Europe and the US
  • You'll work with client facing teams, Trading, and other NatWest Markets functions as required, building out the front to back monitoring architecture for the deals
  • You'll enjoy significant variety across the broad range of Funds Financing products delivered within NatWest Markets, as well as the opportunity to develop your network and create strong relationships with your team across different jurisdictions

What you'll do:

Joining us in this new role, your initial focus will be on working with stakeholders to develop monitoring tools.

You'll be responsible for your own portfolio of existing funds finance transactions which will involve monitoring deal and client performance against specified triggers.

You'll also monitor the performance of underlying collateral pools versus covenants and triggers on a deal-by-deal basis, identifying and escalating any potential red flags.


In addition to this, you'll:

  • Liaise with Structuring to understand the portfolio and deal lifecycle events, forming a mutually beneficial relationship in terms of information sharing between the teams
  • Collect and review the reporting data, and undertake trend analysis to identify trigger breaches, or deteriorations in performance
  • Prepare performance reports as required for stakeholders both within Private Finance and more broadly, including Credit
  • Work with Technology and other key stakeholders to further develop and automate the portfolio management process

The skills you'll need:


We're looking for someone with experience of finance funds in a portfolio management or front office role, and an understanding of the transaction documentation.

You'll be highly organised with excellent data skills, and proficient in Excel, handling large data sets, and coding.

Along with the ability to work with others to perform complex tasks and adjust your actions in relation to other people's needs, you'll have the ability to rapidly assimilate quantities of information.


We're also looking for:

  • Knowledge of robust risk and controls disciplines
  • Familiarity with SQL, VBA, and data visualisation tools
  • Familiarity with ESG and corresponding data implications for funds
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills and attention to detail
