Description: At Care in Mind, our homes bustle with activity and positive vibes where both the young people feel secure and our team members enjoy their roles. The night shift involves actively engaging with young individuals, providing support for their well-being, education, household chores, and general life skills. Alongside the rewarding aspects, challenges like managing incidents and defusing tense situations also form part of the responsibilities.

You will need to maintain online care records, administer medications, and deliver effective briefings to the day staff. Additionally, ensuring the home's cleanliness and organization to create a cozy atmosphere for the young residents falls under your purview. Despite working nights, you will be backed up by another night worker or a sleep-in colleague and have access to a manager on call for further assistance.

In Denton's Green, a 5-bed residence, you will be collaborating with youths diagnosed with various mental health conditions such as personality disorders, disordered eating, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder, some of whom resort to self-harm for emotional coping. Several are gearing up to transition positively to community living. Your tasks will encompass aiding them in daily activities like meal prep, grocery shopping, personal care reminders, medication management, doctor's appointments, and overall household upkeep. Moreover, you get to support their outdoor ventures like shopping, swimming, dining out, club participation, pampering sessions, cinema outings, and so forth. We even have 'Bring Your Hobby to Work' days for team members to indulge in their interests like dog walking, painting, yoga, camping, or gardening.

The role, though fun-filled, also entails managing incidents, diffusing challenging behaviors, maintaining records, drafting reports, conducting audits, and overseeing medication. While prior care experience is advantageous, comprehensive training will be provided. Continuous mentoring and support will be extended by our affable residential and clinical teams through measures like Reflective Practice, 1:1 sessions, and Staff Group assistance.
