The OpportunityThe successful "Assistant Building Surveyor" will join a busy existing team with key responsibilities including:Supporting Building Surveyors in their day-to-day activitiesDevelop a thorough understanding of Building Surveying Services as defined by the RICSUndertaking a wide range of regional building surveying duties throughout with some national opportunitiesWith support, managing your own projects and understanding the commercial aspects of this roleLearning and understanding the principles of quality, safety and the environment within asset surveys, project design, delivery and managementParticipating in internal and external training initiativesGenerating repeat business and participate in local business development initiatives The Ideal CandidateA BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or an equivalent RICS accredited degree.
We'll also consider ONC, HNC, or equivalent qualifications, plus relevant experienceAn ability to manage your own time and workload effectively and efficientlyEnthusiasm to learn and provide the full range of Building Surveying ServicesMathematical ability and an understanding of the need for accuracy in all your workA willingness to improve your technical skills and knowledgeA desire to gain Chartered statusA focus on client satisfaction and have experience of liaising directly with clientsWhat's in it for you?Attractive salary packageFlexible / hybrid workingPerformance-based bonus scheme to partake in our financial achievementsParticipation in company pension schemeMinimum of 25 days annual leave, along with bank holidays, with additional accrual based on tenurePaid half-day for volunteering annuallyAdditional perks such as holiday purchase scheme and cycle-to-work program-
