Would you like to use your hospital knowledge to guide future developments in Clinical Systems and working with departments to streamline their use of systems?
Do you look at the clinical systems and sometimes think about the ideas you have that would improve them for staff within the hospital or wider community?

Not all IM& T staff come from an IT or technical background. The team takes staff from across the Hospital and beyond, from Clerical and Clinical roles.
We are looking for
- Previous extensive experience of using IT clinical systems and a good working knowledge of the Acute Hospital environment.
- Experience of managing changes or enhancements to systems (from a user perspective)
- Attention to detail, good written and communication skills.
- Ability to work within a small team during the standard working week. Participation in an on call out of hours rota for clinical systems is also required (after training)
- This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the team to shape the development of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and the many other clinical systems run throughout the Trust and the Community and to support and spread knowledge of the systems throughout the Trust.
- Whilst supporting the higher level day to day technical issues of the systems for a particular area, your input will also be required to work across the department on improvements in working practices, workflow and new project implementations.

- Ellesmere Port Hospital: providing 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate and outpatient facility
- Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services which serve the local rural population.
The Trust is a busy district general hospital and in 2022/2023, there were more than 503,342 patient attendances (inpatient, outpatient and diagnostic) ranging from a simple outpatient appointment to major cancer surgery. This is an increase of nearly 10,000 compared to the previous year when there were 494,387 patient attendances. Job description Job responsibilities See Job Description for further details.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is 23 (standard) or 43 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first three months of employment.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
