Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and ensure the evolution of the infrastructure to meet business and client requirements for stability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Propose technical advancements and long-term strategies
  • Provide support to partners such as Production, developers, testers, and end-users
  • Evaluate and configure new versions/products
  • Prepare and manage procedures for creating supported configurations
  • Act as an escalation point to vendors for DB2/MQ and related software
  • Perform performance tuning of SQLs and Applications
  • Define and optimize performance of MQ managers
  • Review and approve MQ objects for software development teams

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DB2 z/OS System Admin
  • 5+ years of experience as an MQ z/OS System Admin
  • Experience in z/OS system programming and USS with a focus on Security and Certificates management
  • Knowledge of JCL, SDSF, PL/1, Rexx, QMF (TSO/Websphere)
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools for DB2 & MQ (e.g., CA SYSVIEW, Omegamon, TMON)
  • Experience with Data Replication (Q Replication, CDC)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SAS software installation on both Mainframe and Distributed platforms
  • IDAA experience
  • Knowledge of DB2Connect/drivers and Windows
  • Experience with z/OS Connect, DB2 APIs, DB2 AI
