Our Birmingham Capital (Planned refurbishments) team is currently seeking a dedicated Contracts Manager who embodies our values and can drive the successful completion of our refurbishment contracts.


In this role, you'll oversee the contract's delivery, with the opportunity to invest in and develop a motivated trade team, contributing to our ongoing success in maintaining the prestigious ROSPA Presidents Award 2024.

The Contracts Manager role:

nResponsible for leading the operational delivery of a variety of planned programs and contracts across The Midlands.nWith a direct labour team, you will lead by example, motivating, incentivising, and developing individuals - we believe in delivering our work directly.

Therefore, you'll be involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new members.nInstilling ownership and responsibility in your teams

to support the successful delivery of works to the expected standards, on time and to budget.nHealth and Safety measures will be paramount to you, and you'll ensure they

are in place and monitored.nYou will build relationships both internally and externally.

We encourage commercial and operational teams to work closely together to ensure successful delivery of a contractnBe accountable and manage your own time so that you can visit site regularly to maintain productivity and be in the office to ensure procedures and reports are up to date.

What will you bring as a Contract Manager?nRelevant experience in a similar role, within the housing refurbishment sector, more specifically, running kitchen and bathroom programsnExperience in running Retrofit contracts would be beneficialnDemonstrable experience of managing direct labour, including development and performance management of a teamnAn understanding of cost and risk managementnAn SMSTS qualification (preferred) with a sound working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements (essential)nA trade background (all trades considered to NVQ level 2 or equivalent) is preferrednThe ability to build successful working relationships with customers, clients, and employees
