About the role:


Vision for Education are working with this specialist school to recruit a passionate and dedicated Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join their ever growing team.

This is a full time/long term Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant role, meaning you will be working Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 to 08:30.

Throughout the role of an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting children and young people who have complex needs with their academic goals.

You will also be supporting the class teacher with tasks such as helping prepare the classroom and clear away after lesson, taking part in break and lunch time supervision and assisting with personal care where necessary.

This SEND school, located in Sunderland supports children and young people aged between 5 and 11 who have complex needs such as Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Challenging Behaviours and Social and Emotional Mental Health (SEMH).


Requirements:

To be considered for the role of Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

  • Must have enhanced DBS registered on the update service/ be willing to go through the DBS process if do not already hold certificate
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Must be passionate about the progress of SEND pupils
  • Must be kind, caring and compassionate
