Demonstrate a continued commitment to professional development.

Lifting, carrying and moving of patients and / or equipment Use of the appropriate knowledge and skills in order to make professional judgements, whilst autonomously conducting the appropriate diagnostic procedures and treatments, safely to the appropriate level of training and competency.

Provide appropriate clinical care and treatment within the level of own training and competency, including clinical interventions and invasive techniques such as required.


Continue to undertake duty of care to patient, ensuring an appropriate level of monitoring and treatment is maintained throughout the journey and after arrival at destination, until such time as a transfer of duty of care can be made in verbal or written / electronic form to an appropriate person.

To provide an operational response to all emergency calls without delay, all urgent calls requested by a healthcare professional, all patient transfer journeys and any other planned journey requests by Dispatch.

Manage patients, relatives and the general public in a calm, caring and professional manner, treating them with dignity and respect at all times, often in difficult or hostile circumstances.

To provide pre-hospital patient care and emergency driving duties within the scope of a Registered Paramedic to ensure the delivery of clinical excellence in the field.

To maintain absolute professionalism, integrity and confidentiality for all patients, their families, Trust staff and those from other agencies.
