As a Functional Consultant at ESG, you will support multiple small, medium and large-scale projects and programme deliveries, from pre-sales through to go live, combining both business and technology skills and ideally industry knowledge.

Utilising detailed knowledge of our product and services, you will deliver functional-product consultancy, alongside providing support and guidance for the optimum delivery and use of our products in consideration of the
Clients own environment and business needs.

This includes delivering training and knowledge transfer, alongside advice and guidance on how to configure and deploy ESG products to get the optimum use and how best to take advantage of out-of-the-box functionality.


As a consultant, you will also be expected to support and potentially mentor other consultants within the team where appropriate.

This is alongside refining and evolving the processes and procedures that underpin a sucessful Functional
Services Consultancy team, all of which are in support of delivering our teams vision and mission statement.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Functional Consultant at ESG you will:

  • Educate and support ESG customers through the delivery of knowledge transfer, training, configuration, implementation, and product support
  • Lead and support the delivery of small, medium and large scale projects for both external Client and internal change programmes
  • Support Project Managers to identify and propose the most appropriate training and knowledge transfer delivery approach for each project, taking into consideration the customers portfolio and existing knowledge or impact on internal operations
  • Recommend and support Clients to configure ESG solutions to address a clients business need
  • Build strong relationships with Clients from Project initiation stage to gather information to determine their challenges and priorities, to recommend the best delivery of ESG products and services to bring the most benefits to their business
  • Create, document and evaluate business processes and identify links to Functional Requirements
  • Identify new opportunities for Product improvements, feeding these into the product roadmap
  • Working alongside Business Analysts to understand new industry requirements for customers and ESG teams, in particular those arising from largescale industry change
  • Engage with external ESG partners and industry groups to identify and understand the impact of industry change on our business and existing clients
  • Periodically, review documentation and tools to keep them up to date with product evolution and continuously improve processes
  • Maintain product and industry knowledge as the products evolve and industry release new changes keeping a keen eye on new product enhancements and existing limitations
  • Work with other Consultants and wider ESG colleagues to ensure a coherent and consistent approach to delivering consultancy and knowledge transfer engagements
  • Work with all areas of the business to support ESG's clientcentric delivery approach, utilising consultancy qualities such as professionalism, judgement, creative thinking, insight, communication skills, expert knowledge, and integrity
