Sanctuary Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to take on a new locum opportunity based in Blackpool, within the Crisis Response & Urgent Care Service.

Contract Type:
Locum, 6-month contract
Shift Pattern: 24/7 Service, Long Days/Nights available
Pay Rates:
- Days £26 p/h
- Nights/Saturdays £34 p/h
- Sundays/Bank Holidays £41 p/h
Duties:
- Provide a fast, responsive service to assess individuals needs for access into mental health services
- Undertake Mental Health Assessments including Risk Assessments, providing rapid and holistic assessment, care and sign posting of individuals presenting with other urgent risk issues
- Be proficient in referring to other clinicians within the service and/or referring to other services/agencies where necessary
- Provide a "gatekeeping" function as detailed in the Operating Procedure
- Provide managerial support to the team in the absence of the Team Manager
- Organise and deliver a rapid intensive intervention service in order to meet the health and social needs of people experiencing a serious mental health crisis
- Form close working relationships with and provide highly specialised advice and information on mental health issues to a variety of other services/agencies/organisations and carers both within and outside mental health services
- Participate in and contribute to local and National strategies to improve services
- Carry out clinical supervision and appraise and produce development plans with lower grade staff member
Requirements of the Registered Mental Health Nurse:
- Degree or equivalent in Mental Health Nursing
- Proven experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse
- Valid NMC Registration
