The hours of work are 6.00am pm, Monday to Friday, all year round. Extra hours are available at other times.

Job Objective:

To provide the highest possible standard of cleaning service to students, staff and visitors at all times.

Main Responsibilities
To clean offices, classrooms and boarding houses, including, but not limited to:

  • Dust and polish surfaces
  • Clean kitchen and lounge areas
  • Clean student bedrooms and communal areas
  • Empty and clean bins
  • Mop floors
  • Vacuum
  • Bathrooms
  • To carry out any periodic cleaning as directed by Matron
All staff

  • To be friendly and helpful and to promote the interests of the School
  • To be aware of all health and safety rules including health and safety at work, COSHH, fire and child protection
  • To attend all training courses as required
  • To undertake any additional, reasonable, duties as requested by the Matron or other Manager
This is not an exhaustive list, and will vary as the School's requirements change.

Rossall School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS clearance will be undertaken by the School. The position is regulated activity and therefore exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
