Airfield Operations Lead
Are you our next Airfield Operations Lead? We are looking for someone who can help us redefine what's possible for our Aerodrome team.
As part of our 'Grow with Gatwick' initiative you'll be provided with plenty of training and support to ensure you're developing and growing your career.
What is the role?
Responsible for managing Gatwick's Airfield operational teams' H24, delivering to the Aerodrome certification and operational requirements. Ensuring all risks to the airfield are managed and regulatory tasks are undertaken and recorded. Ensuring Gatwick's Airfield infrastructure is operated to the highest standard and utilisation. Enabling the safe operation of Airlines and their 3rd parties at Gatwick.
What will you do?
- To maintain compliance through the execution of airfield operational tasks in accordance with the Aerodrome manual and regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining performance across the wider airfield operations including, safety metrics, wildlife management, management of disruption events and timeliness of capital projects.
- Deliver exceptional EHS and aviation safety standards through timely, 'open, honest, just' reporting and occurrence reviews.
- Responsible for ensuring availability and high standards of all airfield infrastructure to support efficient and seamless airport operations. Managing access for all parties required to safely maintain the airport infrastructure.
- Robust delivery of operations in all aspects of airfield emergency orders, winter operations and disruptive events.
- Gatwick's Wildlife & Habitat management plan.
- Sponsorship and Support of the delivery of infrastructure development airside.
Do you have what we're looking for?
- Knowledge and experience in leading a large safety and regulatory focused operational setting
- Excellent understanding of aviation in particular airport operation and development
- Ability to design and implement commercial strategies
- Experienced in the management of 3rd party service providers
- Experienced in delivery of high complexity program of works
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Experience operating in a highly commercial environment
- Proven ability to influence at all levels
- Strong continuous improvement attitude.
