- As a Senior Public Affairs Officer at RICS, you will drive the market demand for RICS professionalism through thought leadership, standards, credentials, and other professional outputs. You will focus on influencing government leaders, policymakers, financial decisionmakers, corporate leaders, media, and other influential opinion formers. By effectively communicating the value of RICS, you will foster positive change in the market, enhancing our profession's growth and impact.
You will proactively and reactively engage with government and private sector targets to ensure policy and business decisions are informed by the highest professional insights.
Creating a positive, supportive, and empowering environment will be key to delivering professional outcomes.You will work collaboratively with teams across RICS, maintaining continuous engagement with market leaders to stay attuned to their needs and developments.
Your efforts will lead to the successful adoption of RICS standards, drive positive market change, and solidify RICS position as an indispensable partner to key market and government leaders, all while being part of a focussed, engaged, and motivated team.
About You
- To excel in this role, you'll need to have experience in Public Affairs and/or Policy, and advantage if this is within the built or natural environment but this is not necessary.
- You will have demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of delivering results in an international team environment, and be adept at thriving in a matrix environment.
- Your proven ability to develop strong relationships and work collaboratively, with experience in engaging senior leaders and/or government stakeholders to drive impactful outcomes will ensure success in this role.
- Your exceptional skills in written, oral, and presentation communications, with a confident, motivated, and agile approach to public affairs and policy initiatives will be crucial.
- You'll be a strategic thinker with a history of successfully planning and organising meetings, roundtables, and events, alongside writing impactful reports, plans, articles, and digital content.
