Tuesday to Saturday 8.00pm to 06.00am (finishing times may vary)

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES FOR THE ROLE

  • Operating a shunt truck to move Products and containers within the yard
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections of shunt truck
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Communicate with yard personnel to ensure efficient movement of trailers and containers
  • Report any issues or damages to trailers or containers
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • This role is manual handling involved

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver's license with appropriate class 2 and endorsements
  • Experience in operating trucks and trailers
  • Ability to manoeuvring vehicles in tight spaces
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
  • Physical fitness to perform duties such as coupling and uncoupling products, climbing in and out of vehicles, and lifting heavy objects
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers, other drivers, and loading personnel
  • Flexibility to work varied hours and shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests as required within company procedures
