We have an opportunity for a Property Surveyor to join our team in Northallerton to be responsible for providing a high quality and efficient property surveying service to assess the maintenance and repair requirements of the organisation's assets.


The Role


As our Property Surveyor you will take ownership of all repair and maintenance activities being carried out to a designated selection of customers' homes and communal areas, including property inspections, diagnosing repairs, identifying and managing required remedial works through to successful completion.

You will also be required to assess energy performance of the organisation's stock.


Ensuring an excellent customer experience is delivered at all times, you will monitor and challenge performance and behaviours of Contractors and in-house teams to ensure we are delivering the required service standards and achieving value for money in line with relevant legislation and policy.

You will use your knowledge and expertise to provide technical support and input across the organisation.

About you

You will have:

  • A HNC in Building Studies or recognised trades qualification.
  • Proven experience working in the housing repair / maintenance sector.
  • Experience of conducting surveys along with the ability to diagnose maintenance problems and identify solutions across all trades.
  • The ability to use a computerised repair and property database and Microsoft Word/Excel software.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of guidance affecting the maintenance function.
  • The ability to manage individual maintenance contracts
Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
