We are seeking a Cook to join our team in Old Shenfield Place Care Home
The Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food in accordance with the food service menu.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients, cooking equipment, and food products.
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping, peeling, cutting, etc.)
- Cook food in various utensils or grillers
- Check food while cooking to stir or turn
- Ensure great presentation by setting up and maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen.
- Arrange ingredients to create meals and prepare dishes on the menu.
- Check food while cooking to ensure high quality and freshness.
- Ensure great flavor by cooking dishes that use proper ingredients.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen area.
- Ensure all food items are stored properly.
- Clean all equipment as needed, including but not limited to ovens, grills, etc.
- Ensuring their is an adequate stock of food/drink for the residents.
- Undertstand the food allergens.
- Able to provide healthy diet for the residents.
- Maintaining a good evidence of documentation under Food Safety Regualtions.
Requirements
:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Part-time hours: 18 per week
Salary:
£11.00-£12.00 per hour
