Working in synergy with the Technical Cloud team(s), the FinOps Specialist will analyse our cloud environment from a cost and financial perspective.

The FinOps Specialist will support our cloud usage and work as a bridge between our technical, commercial and finance teams.

The role will be responsible for the FinOps lifecycle (inform, optimise, operate) and domains for our cloud environments, ensuring Kingston achieves maximum cost and operating efficiency to maximise the benefits of Cloud technology.

Key accountabilities of the role include:

• Lead the FinOps maturity journey at Kingston.
• Lead process improvements and automation
• Reduce unnecessary cloud spend and drive operational efficiencies
• Partner across suppliers, technical services, commercial and finance team

The Person:

You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and be creative and ambitious in setting up the cloud FinOps function.

You will have a good working knowledge of financial management processes to charge out or show back costs to relevant departments and a keen interest in cloud economics.
