What is the role of a Warehouse Operative?

  • Working with the warehouse of a large distribution centre organising orders for dispatch
  • Using handheld scanners to pick the correct items
  • Palletising orders for dispatch
  • Assembling packaging
  • Working as part of a team to meet delivery deadlines
  • Labelling and rework of warehouse goods as required
  • Operating power pallet trucks (PPT, Ped Op, POEP, LLOP)
    FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Committed, team player with a keen eye for quality
  • Reliable with good timekeeping
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a positive attitude
  • No previous experience required as full training is provided
  • Previous experience working in a simlar role e.g. warehouse operative, order picker, retail assistant, operative or production operative is advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience operating a Forklift Truck, FLT, PPT, Ped OP, POEP is desirable but not essential as full training provided
