London, Greater London, United Kingdom Network HR Full time

(Financial Services)

London - can be based anywhere in UK as it's a hybrid role

Reporting to the CPO, this role will own the global Pay and Benefits strategy (UK, Europe and US) for a high-touch SME. We'll be looking for comprehensive global exposure (which must feature US ownership) with some degree of regulatory knowledge as it applies to an FCA regulated environment.

The Group Head of Total Reward & Benefits is responsible for shaping and implementing the total reward and benefits strategy on an international scale. Operating as a senior strategic leader, this role is essential in ensuring the organisation attracts, retains, and motivates top talent through competitive and innovative reward programs. By leveraging expertise in both UK and US reward practices, the incumbent will develop comprehensive strategies that align with the firm's overarching business objectives. With a focus on optimising employee satisfaction, engagement, and overall organisational performance, the Group Head of Total Reward & Benefits will drive initiatives that enhance the firm's reputation as an employer of choice in the global marketplace. This role serves as a key partner to Senior Leadership and the HR Compensation Committee, providing insights and recommendations to support informed decision-making and drive continuous improvement in the total reward offerings.

Background:

  • Minimum of 10-12 years of progressive experience in total reward management, executive compensation, and benefits administration, with a strong emphasis on designing and implementing comprehensive reward strategies in multinational organizations.
  • Extensive experience in managing executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term incentives, with a proven track record of aligning compensation practices with business goals and shareholder interests.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and administering long-term incentive (LTI) plans, such as stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and performance share plans, to drive performance, retention, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • In-depth knowledge of global benefits trends, practices, and regulations, with hands-on experience in managing flexible benefits programs, retirement savings plans, and health and wellness initiatives tailored to diverse employee populations.
  • Strong understanding of regional-specific benefits requirements and regulations, including pensions in the UK (e.g., DC, DB schemes) and 401(k) plans in the US, with experience in managing pension governance, compliance, and communication.
  • Strong grasp of financial principles and analytical techniques, with the ability to interpret data, conduct benchmarking analyses, and derive actionable insights to inform reward strategy decisions.
  • Leadership Presence: Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and influence others, build consensus, and drive change within a matrixed organization
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences and tailor messages to suit different stakeholders
