The Role:

This is a brand-new role for Sovereign Network Group working within our Asset Management team.

The base for this role is in our, Basingstoke Office. This role will involve a blend of office, surveying, and home working.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours.

Reporting to the Strategic Stock Manager and Head of Asset Management to provide a high-quality technical function to support the Asset Management Team in maintaining the asset management database, enabling robust forward investment planning.

  • Undertake technical scrutiny of specialist surveys and report back to key stakeholders with details and findings together with proposed recommendations and mitigation options.
  • Complete audits and validations of new handover properties (including sample site surveys) to check asset data for accuracy.
  • Management of specialist consultants to support the Asset Investment Team maintain robust and accurate asset condition data.
  • Undertake technical inspections of assets.
  • Creating reports from the asset management database
  • Manage stakeholder consultation meetings to capture local knowledge, maintain data accuracy, enable influence upon future planned works and build trusted working relationships.
  • Support the Strategic Stock Manager seeking ways of improving the methods employed to collect and interpret data to improve robustness and accuracy.
  • To undertake ad-hoc and urgent survey requests to Sovereign's property portfolio, resolving data queries, condition and other technical issues and report on findings.
  • Liaison with the Property Asset Management Team and Property Teams as appropriate to monitor Decent Homes performance and CAT 1 & CAT 2 HHSRS failures.

What we're looking for:

  • Extensive and demonstrable experience of carrying out detailed technical surveys to diagnose building faults and rectification measures in occupied and empty properties and communal areas.
  • Experience of carrying out Decent Homes and Housing, Health and Rating System (HHSRS) assessments.
  • Experience of asset management IT data base systems and electronic data capture using mobile technology.
  • Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate strong people skills to build successful relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Experience of working to deadlines and achieving targets through own work and work driven through teams.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to performance deadlines/milestones.
