Cook Position

Cook wanted for 3 shifts per week with alternate weekends preferably

(DBS) Disclosure & Barring Service needed


NVQ in catering and Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage but can be gained at a later stage to enhance skills and qualifications.


Duties:

To prepare good wholesome nutritious food & baking from fresh ingredients for elderly people in a Residential Care Home.


Good Communication skills are needed to interact with elderly people and an understanding of various diets on menu including Diabetic, low fibre, high calorie, low cholesterol and soft diets.

Have the ability to work alone after initial training in modern kitchen.

Temperature testing of food & hazard analysis, recording findings.

Keeping the kitchen clean tidy and working to methodical cleaning schedule
