Job Title: Distribution Jointer at OCU Group

Due to an increase in work volumes, OCU has exciting opportunities for Distribution Jointers to be part of our SSEN contract team located in Reading. This role is perfect for a seasoned Jointer looking to enhance our new connections delivery team.

• Working mainly at LV and 11kV, with the possibility to work on some 33kV projects.

Having existing operational authorization from Scottish and Southern Energy Networks is essential, and this can be further improved through in-house training.

The position is in our Power division, focusing on our SSEN New Connections framework. Based at our Reading depot, the role covers the entire M4 corridor from the M25 to Bath.

Responsibilities:

• Performing Jointing operational tasks - installing new transformers, pillars, cut-outs, and connecting new networks to the existing ones at LV, 11kV, and 33kV.
• Ensuring safe work delivery, meeting the required quality and specifications.
• Accountable for your safety and that of your colleagues.
• Promoting a safety-first mindset.
• Completing essential paperwork and updating the tablet-based works management system.

Skills & Experience:

• SSEN Operational Authorizations.
• Authorized to joint at 11kV.
• NRSWA accreditations.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to prioritize tasks and manage expectations.
• Attention to detail.
• Authorized to Joint at 33kV.
