An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Nurse Hysteroscopist to join our existing dedicated team in Women's Health, Family Care Division.

This vacancy is an initial 18-month fixed term contract to establish a nurse hysteroscopist role within a busy gynaecology department.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic nurse hysteroscopist to join our established team of workers to provide care to women accessing our gynaecology services. The successful candidate will be provided with all the training and support required to ensure high standards of care for women.

The Royal Bolton Hospital Foundation Trust homes our Women's Health Care Department which is a unique Gynaecology Unit dedicated to the screening, investigation and treatment of the surrounding female population. The Department provides an excellent and ever increasing service which is committed to providing high quality, effective care for the local population and surrounding communities in an outpatient setting.

We have a team of highly skilled consultants & nurses who work collaboratively to deliver high quality, effective care to our patients and their families within the Family Care Division. Main duties of the job Candidates must have a keen interest in Gynaecology, with excellent communication skills and demonstrate an empathetic, sensitive and compassionate approach to all.

Candidates must have the ability to work in a team, as well as autonomously in an individual capacity practice autonomously as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) within Women's Health to provide patient centred quality care.

This post will require the candidate to work flexibly across the week Monday - Friday in our Women's Health Care Department and across the Gynaecology services when required. The Family Care Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care in maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children's services. We deliver over 6,000 babies and carry around 1,500 gynaecological procedures each year. The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.   • NMC Registered Nurse/ Midwife
  • Post registration qualification in advanced autonomous/specialist clinical practice ie BSGE Nurse Hysteroscopy course
  • At least 12 months post registration experience as a nurse hysteroscopist.
  • Recognised teaching/assessing qualification
  • Degree in Nursing or related subject
  • Declared competency for intrauterine system insertion, directed biopsy and polypectomy or willingness to undertake training within 6 months of commencing post.
  • Service development and change management.
  • Audit & Standard setting
  • Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable
  • Masters in advanced practice
  • Non-medical prescriber
  • Leadership Qualification

Desirable
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as nurse hysteroscopist.

  • Ability to think at a strategic level.
