Job Purpose:


Based within a chilled warehouse, the Business Support Operative is responsible for assisting in the checking and verifying of operational tasks undertaken daily.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:


  • Stock control counting and verifying stock levels within the various warehouses (chilled, ambient and frozen)
  • Conduct and document intensive care checks instigated both by client requests and an internal schedule.
  • Conduct random finished pallets checks on picked pallets and document all information.
  • Part of the Implementation Team, ensuring that new business is brought into Oakland in line with the operational brief.
  • Complete a daily log of issues detected and any remedial action that has taken place.
  • Assist the Post Implementation process by building up a profile on new customers and products coming on board.
  • Verify contract packing rework figures on an adhoc basis and ensure that the movement and transfer of stock is correct.
  • Conduct random checks on pallets ensuring physical labelling and quantities against the system are accurate and correct.
  • In additional to highlighting issues you will assist taking remedial action and where necessary the longterm action to prevent the reoccurrence.
