We are seeking an Area Sales Manager based in the South of the UK to join our client, a market leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic valves and electronic control systems.
The primary objectives are to maintain and develop new business from both existing and potential customers, ensuring high levels of technical support and customer satisfaction.nThe position requires regular travel throughout the South / South West region to engage with customers, and design technical solutions tailored to specific applications.
Responsibilities:
nMaintain regular contact with existing customers, fostering new business opportunities.nIdentify and source new business, assessing its potential.nProvide technical support and assistance as needed.nRespond to customer requests for quotations, technical proposals, support, training, visits, and presentations.nDevelop key accounts by regularly liaising with contacts on long-term projects.nAssist with fault finding on applications or systems.nMaintain a high level of technical proficiency through involvement in new projects and continuous learning.nProvide technical support to internal staff.nArrange and host customer visits to company premises.
Requirements:
nKnowledge of hydraulic systems and component functions is essential.nFamiliarity with proportional valves and electronics is desirable; training can be provided for the right candidate.nRelevant sales and fluid power qualifications are advantageous.nExperience in Industrial, Marine, Offshore, Sub Sea, Oil & Gas, Agricultural, and Construction environments is ideal.
