We are currently seeking an experienced Data Architect to join our team at RSM.

RSM Consulting is a dynamic firm that integrates various teams within Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to deliver client-centric solutions for the middle market. Our Consulting team plays a vital role in advancing the firm's growth, with over 1,700 professionals generating nearly £200m revenue. At the core of Consulting are six key solutions offered to our clients, including business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring, providing tailored approaches to assist clients in achieving their strategic objectives.

About the Role and Team

As part of our Digital and Data Advisory practice, you will collaborate with three teams:

  • Digital Finance team
  • Digital Transformation team
  • Data Analytics and Insights team

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our Digital and Data Advisory team. Your role will involve closely working with clients, requiring you to quickly establish trust, credibility, and effective relationships. We seek individuals who are problem solvers, creative thinkers, self-starters, and team players committed to delivering exceptional service while being part of a high-performing team.

  • You should be a problem solver, creative thinker, and self-starter with strong organization and proactive qualities.
  • Ideally, you have participated in Transformation projects and can exhibit the value you brought to previous organizations.
  • You must be adept at managing teams and handling multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • You will contribute to client proposals and presentations, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor in addressing their business challenges.

Requirements

Essential

  • A strong academic background, preferably with a degree in relevant fields like business, data analytics, computer science, or information systems.
  • Extensive work experience, particularly in professional services settings.
  • An in-depth understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Expertise in database design and development in Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, and MS SQL Server, with proficiency in creating adaptable Database Architecture.
  • Proven track record in executing full life cycle data warehouse and business intelligence/analytics implementations.
  • Proficiency in various Microsoft SQL Server tools and Azure Data services.
  • Capable of supporting clients in evaluating Business Intelligence solutions to suit their needs.

Core

  • Strong focus on managing and constructing Dimensional Data Warehouses.
  • Proficiency in creating data models and schemas.
  • Experience with Power BI for data modeling and visualizations.
  • Able to determine the required implementation services to help clients meet their goals.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and address client requirements and propose solutions.
  • Strong client relationship and project management skills.
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and team-oriented.
  • Must be proactive, organized, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting ideas clearly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and alignment with RSM's core values.

Desirable

  • Experience or interest in technology solutions.
  • Experience in proposal writing and business development.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx, R, Python, Tableau, QlikView, or Qlik Sense.
