Purbeck Youth & Community Foundation is a local charity based in Wareham Youth & Community Centre and started in 2016.

We are professional, agile, collaborative, creative and our goal is to keep running youth clubs and services for young people and ensure the centre is used for the local community and we develop a Family hub.

Duties:

  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor for youth
  • Develop and implement educational programs and activities
  • Provide guidance and support to youth in their personal and academic growth
  • Assist with conflict management and resolution among youth
  • Collaborate with other staff members to create a safe and nurturing environment for youth
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth in the program
  • Maintain accurate records of youth participation and progress

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, social work, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with youth in a mentoring or educational setting
  • Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively manage conflicts and resolve issues
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding towards youth from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

£12.00-£16.00 per hour
