This is a fast-paced manufacturing support role in which the Material Handler is responsible for the movement of material throughout the production facility anticipating need and as the need arises.

Additionally, they must be focused on safety, teamwork, task completion, and customer satisfaction.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to successfully pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screen
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
Exhibits independent thinking and sound judgment, accompanied by proven problem solving
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with team members and managers/supervisors
Excellent time management with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This role requires a high level of multi-tasking and constant re-prioritization of work tasks
Daily safety conscious work effort. Notify management of any product discrepancies or equipment malfunctions, and or personal injuries
Participate in all continuous improvement programs by offering suggestions and initiatives in areas within direct control
Comply with state and federal law safety regulations in addition to AccroTool health, safety and security procedures
Adhere to company policies and state and federal laws and regulations relating to employment, including promoting a workplace free of discrimination and harassment

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum High School diploma or GED required with a minimum of 2-years related manufacturing/warehousing experience.

At least one year of regular forklift operation in varying material handling situations is preferred i.e. loading/unloading shelves, unloading trucks from the ground and from a loading dock etc.
Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
Intermediate computer skills required

Ability to communicate effectively on regular basis. Constant handling, grasping, repetitive motion job tasks requiring continuous eye/hand/foot coordination. Good depth perception needed to safety rack and un-rack material with a forklift. Environmental conditions consist of frequent temperature changes. Up to 60 lb. maximum lifting and carrying (by hand) on an occasional basis. Up to 100 lb. maximum pushing and pulling with cart or pallet jack also on an occasional basis. Must be able to wear personal protection equipment, such as earplugs, safety glasses, and safety shoes/boots. The employee must be able to perform the physical demands of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Overall physical exertion is classified as constant medium (exertion) work.

JOB DUTIES:
Pull, prepare and stage job materials in assigned manufacturing work cells or staging areas, including the loading/unloading of material from machines
Working from travelers; checking prints, verify material, counts etc. Document movement of materials through the use of factory update boards and complete all required paperwork
Unload raw material from delivery trucks and place into designated racks or storage
Ability to visually inspect and measure material for damage, dimension and quantity
Remove and dispose of packing, scrap, material, skids and cardboard, etc., in the manufacturing area
Assist in and support inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts
Picks material for work orders, according to printed picklists
Able to remember and follow set work procedures and instructions
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members. Will be required to regularly communicate with Production Supervisors, Leads and Operators for the benefit of in-process part/material movement as well as Shipping/Receiving to coordinate the receiving of raw materials
Work effectively as a team member with minimal supervision or help when and where needed. The position requires a self-starter with a strong work ethic
Lift and move material/product as required and/or directed by hand, cart, pallet jack or forklift. Must be proficient safely moving materials in tight operational areas in a timely fashion
Be responsible to maintain a clean and orderly work area
Must have a willingness and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, schedule and deadlines and perform other essential duties as assigned in support of operational success
