Education Studies Graduate Teaching Assistant - September 2024 Start

Location: England, Greater London, Islington

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day - In line with permanent staff after 12 weeks.

Are you a recent or soon to be Education Studies Graduate looking for a full-time position in September?

Protocol Education are working with a large range of Primary Schools in Islington who are looking for Education Studies Graduates to join them on a full-time basis.

No prior experience is neccesary for these roles. Are school are looking for motivated Graduates with a genuine interest of starting a career in education.

These roles will involve working with children with SEND including ASD, ADHD and MLD.

Protocol will work in conjunction with the school to make sure you receive the adequate training and support required to become successful in your role.

If you are thinking about a career in education and live locally to Islington, this is the perfect way to get a real understanding of the day to day life of a school.

For the best graduates, this could lead to permanent roles at the school or potentially teacher training oppurtunities.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the lead teacher in delivering lessons and activities
  • Assisting with classroom management and student supervision
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties
  • Preparing and organising educational materials
  • Assessing student performance and providing feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in Education or relevant field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with children and helping them achieve academic success

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Education preferred but other degrees also considered

Working Conditions:

  • Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
  • Classroom-based role with potential for outdoor activities
  • May involve standing for long periods and occasional lifting of educational materials
  • Working in schools local to Islington
