Role: Design Engineering Manager

Contract Length: 18 months

Location: Aldermaston/Hybrid

Candidates should hold Active SC Clearance.

Minimum Requirement:

- Responsible for maintaining a live safety case for a facility, including managing the production of engineering design substantiation and assessments to ensure safety and compliance throughout the asset life cycle
- Provide professional engineering service in support of the CASD Programme and the company's strategic objectives
- Work collaboratively across functions as a liaison between the Facility, Safety Case Subject Matter Experts, and Technical Authorities

Skills:

- Design or operational experience in regulated environments (Nuclear, Gas, Oil, Rail, Pharma)
- Experience in highly regulated environments, ensuring quality and timely delivery of engineering design and outputs for safe operations
- Ability to oversee engineering design in a multi-discipline environment for high integrity assets
- Proficient in articulating technical complexities, guiding teams to meet project goals
- Familiarity with safety legislation and standards in engineering, such as HSAWA, CDM, and their application as required
- Experience in configuration and change control on a Nuclear licensed site, ensuring maintenance aligns with engineering schedules
- Skilled in maintaining a live safety case and conducting assessments for the Periodic Review of Safety
