An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counselling Lecturer to join the Society, Health and Childhood team on a part time (0.5), permanent basis.

The post will deliver our Level 2 and Level 3 in Counselling and Mental Health courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the development and delivery of the managed learning of students
  • To undertake 443 (FE Delivery) hours of teaching annually

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Possession of a recognised teaching qualification (minimum level 5) or be willing to commence studies within 1 year of appointment (essential)
  • Minimum Level 2 English and Maths or be willing to obtain within 1 year of appointment
  • Possession of Assessor and Verifier awards or be willing to obtain within 1 year of appointment
  • Industrial, commercial or research experience in an appropriate related discipline
  • Experience working in Further Education or Higher Education (desirable)

No Teaching Qualification? Teaching in further education is unique. If you've got industry experience and a passion for sharing your skills you could be a great further education teacher. If you have real-world industry experience, you already have what it takes to teach in furthereducation (FE). Plus, you don't always need teaching experience or an academic degree to get started.
