Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire WestIntegrated Care Board (BOB ICB) is seeking to appoint a Head of Business andChange Management , for a period of 12 months, to support the Clinical Directorand new Managing Director through a periodof transition and change, as the Cancer Alliance re-establishes itself ,aligned to new hosting arrangements with BOB ICB, from the first 1stJuly 24 onwards.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering a programme of work to maximisethe future effectiveness of the Alliance and leading a range of projects that will improve and transform CancerAlliance infrastructure and services across the Thames Valley.

Inthe heart of the Thames Valley is our Integrated Care Board (ICB).

It coversthe geography across three counties and goes in line with the local authorityboundaries of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Reading, West Berkshire andWokingham.

Whileoverall in good health and socio-economic condition, alongside affluence wehave pockets of severe deprivation.

Ourconstituent organisations include 175 GP surgeries, 5 local authorities, 3acute hospital trusts, 2 mental health and community providers, 1 ambulancetrust and a single operating model across all of this, spending £2.Wevalue and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity forall.

The postholder will lead a range of projects that will improve and transform Cancer Alliance infrastructure and services across the Thames Valley.

Ensure effective strategy and operational policies for promoting innovation across Cluster and Sector are in place.

Develop and communicate the vision for the role of innovation, and the development of strategy and operational policies to support this vision.

Engage with key strategic regional and national policy makers to inform development of strategy and policies. Head of Business and Change Management Job Description * SECONDMENT - 12 months
Develop and champion new initiatives or projects as necessary.
Provide expertise of best practice methodologies regulatory requirements, policy imperatives, innovation and technological developments and stakeholders knowledge.
Supported the development and implementation of an organisational development plan for the TVCA.
Management Skills
~ High level analytical skills and the ability to draw qualitative and quantitative data from a wide range of sources and present in a clear concise manner.
Ability to analyse numerical and written data, assess options and draw appropriate conclusions.

Demonstrates sound judgement in the absence of clear guidelines or precedent, seeking advice as necessary from more senior management when appropriate.

Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.

Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement.

Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health & Social Care and individual provider and commissioning organisations.

Planning Skills
~ Leadership, vision, strategic thinking and planning with highly developed political skills.

Ability to communicate with clinical, academic and all levels of staff effectively.
Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development.
