Joining the Royal Marsden Hospital Clinical Trials Department means being part of a service committed to high-quality patient care. With the establishment of the Oak Cancer Centre, we aim to accelerate research translation for improved treatment and care, impacting the lives of cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and beyond.

We are transitioning to the EPIC digital health record system to enhance pharmacy team support and streamline operations.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Conduct duties related to clinical trials service provision within the pharmacy department
  • Ensure compliance with UK Clinical Trial Regulations and ICH GCP guidelines

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain the Clinical Trials service
  • Assist in setting up new clinical trials and preparing necessary documentation
  • Maintain accurate records and drug accountability

Person Specification

Education/Qualifications

Essential Criteria

  • NVQ Level 3/BTEC equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science
  • Registered as a pharmacy technician with GPhC

Desirable Criteria

  • Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification
  • Current certified ICH-GCP training

Experience

Desirable Criteria

  • Post-qualification work experience in hospital pharmacy
  • Experience in Oncology Pharmacy and Clinical Trials
  • Aseptic preparation and team management experience
  • Knowledge/experience of writing SOPs and working with EPIC system

Skills Abilities/Knowledge

Essential Criteria

  • Effective team player with strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
