The vacancy

Are you passionate about youth development and looking to make a positive impact? DN Colleges Group is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) Assistant to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support and inspire students and staff involved in the DofE program across our college community.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote Participation:

Actively encourage and promote participation in the DofE program, focusing on engaging key groups. Celebrate achievements frequently, ensuring that successes are recognized and rewarded.

Program Support:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new starts, awards achieved, and any issues arising for current participants. Manage the purchasing of Welcome Packs and assign Participation Places efficiently. Assist the DofE Manager in addressing complaints and queries, adhering to the College's policies and procedures.

Group Support:

Assist in setting up, authorizing, and managing DofE groups. Support the delivery of high-quality programs to students in the DofE group. Help ensure a safe and enjoyable DofE experience for all participants. Support expedition teams with their planning and deliver necessary training for all required areas.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience working with young people, ideally within an educational or youth work setting. Strong organizational and administrative abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Knowledge of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award program is an advantage but not essential.
