At XE, our IT Business Systems Team ensures the efficient delivery of critical applications to ensure every member of staff at XE can operate at 100% effectiveness.

In this role, you will work in an agile fashion to deliver and own a new mobile and web application built upon a robust and highly available shared, headless API back-end.

What you'll do:
  • Connect & Achieve : You will contribute to the full software development lifecycle of the Xe Consumer App, Web application and supporting services. You will utilize your relevant experience and knowledge to drive technical design discussions and decisions. You will grab opportunities to inject your experience and knowledge to your teams decision making process. Collaborate with Product Owners, UX designers and architects to find the most appropriate solution or approach. And be part of a growing team which delights and excites millions of our customers resulting in increased revenue through App or Web of 20%.
  • Team Player: You will be part of the team and mentor and support junior developers, including through pair-programming and code reviews. Actively participate in coding chapters and workshops. You will continually learn new skills and technology and work to a fortnightly cadence, with a focus on value delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Passion for Learning : You are a passionate learner, who proactively develops and grows your understanding with a can-do attitude.
Requirements

We are looking for a mid-level / senior front-end developer who is proficient in and has a passion for creating engaging and user-friendly web applications.

Who you are;
  • Proficiency in Vue or other similar frameworks and experience developing web applications.
  • Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web design principles.
  • Experience with PostCSS/SASS/SCSS or similar CSS technologies for styling and optimizing UI components.
  • Knowledge of main JavaScript build tools and module bundlers.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles and the ability to collaborate closely with designers to create visually appealing and intuitive interfaces.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks or libraries.
  • At least four years of relevant experience.
Nice-to-have skills:
  • Experience using Vuex or Pinia for state management.
  • Knowledge of TypeScript and the Composition API for writing clean and maintainable code.
  • Familiarity with writing unit tests using Vitest or Jest, and knowledge of e2e testing frameworks such as Playwright and Cypress.
  • Understanding of JavaScript build tools and module bundlers like Vite/Rollup/Webpack.
  • Experience with Storybook for component-driven development and UI documentation.
  • Additional familiarity with UX/UI design principles and tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and effective collaboration with other developers and stakeholders.
