Process Chemist

NES Fircroft are currently recruiting for a Process Chemist on a Contract basis for our client based in the Bracknell area.

NES Fircroft are working with a crop protection solutions client, offering a Process Chemist placement (contract role) to work within its Process Studies Group.

This role will rely on applying fundamental understanding of organic and physical chemistry to develop and improve chemical processes for new and existing crop protection products.

As a Process Chemist in physical organic chemistry, you will work in a cross-disciplinary team with a significant degree of autonomy, designing and implementing experiments aiming to understand and further improve complex chemical processes.

The role will involve the gathering and interpretation of quantitative chemical information and applying creative solutions to build fundamental understanding and solve chemical process problems.

• A degree (Master's or PhD) in chemical sciences, with expertise in organic and/or physical chemistry as essential.
• Comprehensive laboratory with experience in chemical analysis.
• Experience or interest in quantitative data analysis.
• You should be driven by solving complex technical challenges with an ability and desire to create innovative, sustainable process solutions.

• Contract role (12 months with the possibility of extension) based in our Research and Development site.
