Our client is one of Worcestershire's most recognised and highly regarded Legal Firms that offers a full range of legal services for both individuals and businesses, with offices across Worcestershire.

Due to the increase of work in their family department they are looking to recruit an experienced Family Lawyer.

Family Lawyer main duties:

  • You will work alongside the Head of the Family Law team dealing with a range of private law cases, an ability to conduct your own advocacy for preliminary hearings will be necessary.
  • You will be required to work within the parameters of that ethos when dealing with clients and other solicitor practices alike.
  • Provide legal advice and representation to the firm on matters relating to family services
  • You will be expected to work with the Head of Family Law to develop the practice area further
  • You must be willing to undertake your own advocacy
  • Assist in the supervision and training of less experienced staff

Family Lawyer required skills and experience:

  • You will have at least 1-3 years PQE with experience of divorce and financial cases as well as private law child contact matters for our busy family law department.
  • You must be able to demonstrate an excellent oral and written communication skills as well as demonstrable skills and strengths in negotiation, drafting, persuading and influencing
  • You will be required to demonstrate advocacy skills and a willingness to undertake advocacy
  • To succeed in this role you will have recent, indepth knowledge and post qualification experience in the area of Family and Child legal matters
