The role of the Purchasing and Business Support Administrator has become necessary to SMP due to the strategic uptake in its order book profile and position in its operating field.

The Purchasing and Business Support Administrator position is required to support the Purchaser and Business Support Co-Ordinator within the office area.

The position will require the person to be flexible and able to liaise with different departments within the business. The role will also require the person to be analytical with good computer skills.

Qualifications:

Good level of GCSE's

Duties:

  • Creating detailed Data Packs from standard models for customer use
  • Control of OEM certificate creation
  • Input process of Bills of Material onto the MRP system
  • Control of call off items for office use
  • Scanning and filing of delivery notes
  • Document archiving of historical data including invoice control
  • Helping with supplier selection, measurement and control
  • Liaising with other departments to collect information
  • Cover other roles within Purchasing & Business Support when required

Requirements:

  • Experience in Microsoft Office
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Experience of MRP would be advantageous but not essential. Inhouse Database training would be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills; high level of verbal and written English.
  • Organised multitasker. Good analytical skills.
  • The ability to work to tight timescales in a challenging environment.

Preston

Hours of Work:

Monday to Friday 09:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs

Wage:

£22,000 per annum - Subject to experience and knowledge
