Trust Grade Registrar in Emergency Medicine

We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Trust Grade Registrar in Emergency Medicine on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful A&E department.

Our client is one of the largest integrated care Trusts in the country bringing together hospital and community services, serving 9,000 staff, including 1,300 doctors and 4,000 nurses and serves a diverse population of approximately 850,000 with a budget of over £640 Million

This Emergency Department is an amazing opportunity for the right person that strives to provide excellent emergency care at all times and have developed a thriving multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical members, many of whom work cross-site.

In recent years they have seen a significant expansion in their Emergency Medicine Consultant numbers, as well as developing the roles of Physician Associates and Advanced Clinical Practitioners within our teams.

In 2019 they were given the title of "Most Improved ED in London" and recent CQC inspections have also highlighted a number of areas of outstanding practice.

The successful appointee will be joining a department that expects the appointee to fulfil various expectations, these include: spend time developing their portfolio to enable progression in emergency medicine; the department ask for the appointee to know the area that sparks passion for you and that you would want to develop your skills in during your time spent working for their Trust.

The appointee will be allocated a Consultant Supervisor who will work alongside the candidate to support them over the 6 or 12 months to achieve their personal goals including development of an online portfolio and their own professional development plan, you expected to participate in Audit and Quality Improvement Projects within the department.

There is an extensive programme of national, regional and local Audit and QIPs ongoing within our EDs that you will have the opportunity to become involved in and lead on,
