The role of the Leisure Attendant is to undertake pool supervision, the safe erection and dismantling of sports equipment, dealing with customers, cash handling, reception duties, cleaning and housekeeping and general control of facilities and activities to a high level of customer satisfaction.

You will oversee the general safety of the public and the facilities.


It is desirable that individuals should hold a current STA Pool Lifeguard qualification but is not essential as training can be provided.

However, to achieve this qualification the ability to be able to swim will be required. A DBS check will be a requirement of the role.


As part of OCL's total reward package there is a generous holiday entitlement which is over and above the statutory minimum, a pension scheme into which the company contributes, you will be provided with full uniform and any equipment required to undertake your job role.

Also offered is free parking and use of the facilities.

The rate of pay for the role is OCL Band 2 which commences at £6.75 per hour and rises to £9.50, dependent upon age.
