I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Bradford who are looking for an experienced Communications officer for 3 Months Initially.

The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying £242 per day.

JOB PURPOSE


Play a key role in the production of high quality promotional material and the identification of positive stories about the work of BCFT and its staff.

Gathers insights on staff internal communications use and preferences, and develop communications offer accordingly. Support the handling of media relations with support of wider Communications service. Supports the delivery in internal communications and staff engagement. Review staff feedback to assess the effectiveness of staff communications.

Responsibilities:

1) To develop internal and external communications and engagement plans, campaigns and marketing activities across different media for BCFT services in accordance with the BCFT's priorities.
2) To develop, write, edit and review content for the BCFT's communication channels including websites, printed publications, speeches, press releases and social media accounts, ensuring that it is of a high quality, meets corporate standards, is suitable for the target audience, accessible, and useful.
3) To liaise with and establish a good rapport with local, national and specialist media, deal with media enquiries, and prepare press releases and statements to represent the BCFT's position within agreed deadlines
Knowledge and skills
Due to the Governments Fluency in English Duty for posts where employees speak directly to members of the public the post holder is required to meet the Advanced Threshold level which will be implemented where the post requires a greater level of sensitive interaction with the public, (e.g.

in children's centres) - where the person is able to demonstrate that they can during the interview:

a) Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly
b) Only the requirement to explain difficult concepts simply hinders a natural smooth flow of language
