Joining a new initiative aiming to enhance community access for individuals with learning disabilities, we seek to engage communities and volunteers in creating inclusive environments. The vision includes empowering individuals with learning disabilities to become active volunteers, initiating community projects and events.

We are searching for a dedicated individual to lead this venture in Tameside. In this role, you will implement community-led strategies, adopt a person-centred approach, and promote collaboration in all endeavors. By leveraging existing services and cultivating new relationships, you will empower individuals to actively participate in their local communities.

This position involves a mix of on-site work in Tameside and Greater Manchester, participation in Mencap's Me Time Programme, and remote work. It's a full-time fixed-term contract until March 2025 with flexibility for part-time arrangements upon request. Access to a car and travel within the locality is beneficial.
