Removal Porter

You will start your day by reporting to the location of the van where you will meet with the driver, then you will be allocated your job for the day.
You and your driver will work until the job is done and you will be paid for every hour you work.
Experience:
- You will need knowledge on securing the load in the back of the van efficiently.
- You will have to know how to manage problems and manage problems and deal with customers
- You will potentially have to go on long journeys so experience with this would be beneficial.
A typical day:
Checking with the clients which items are to be moved.
Taking apart large items of furniture for parking and removal.
Packing items, loading them into the vehicle and securing them safely.
Driving to the new location, unloading belongings and placing them where clients want them.
Wherever there are houses, there are people that need moving, most of our moves are in Leicester, however, and you may find your self moving across the UK and even into Europe.
Skills and Qualifications:
Personality is key to being an iVAN Removals team member.
We expect you to go the extra mile in everything that you do, no academic qualifications are essential but you need to have the following qualities and we will teach you the rest:
The ability to work well within a team
A good level of fitness
The ability to work out the most effective way to load items.
Good time-keeping.
